Roy is an original thought leader, with business acumen to increase profits and company value. Nimble in orienting to new tech – an early adopter of digital content, short-form video (he ran YouTube channels for Jamie Oliver and the Dream School show he created) and AI in production. He has served on the boards of youth and music non-profits and has an extensive ‘black book’ of creatives.
He’s bringing his industry expertise and vision to production companies in Europe and the US, helping creatives adapt and thrive in the new world. The industry is facing a huge inflection point with the increasing use of AI, the flow of viewers away from traditional TV and cable and the emergence of the Creator Economy.

Roy took a hand-to-mouth production company and led its transformation into a sustainable and profitable global player, winning a stack of awards for documentaries, limited series and hit formats. Roy piloted the company’s sale to European conglomerate Zodiak (now Banijay) with an extremely high EBITDA multiple. Short-listed for Broadcast Company of the Year three times.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, JAMIE OLIVER’S FRESH ONE PRODUCTIONS
Head-hunted by global celebrity chef, within 3 years he flipped the business from 90% reliance on Jamie Oliver-presented shows to a diversified multi-genre, international producer with 85% of series not relying on the owner/host, allowing Jamie to focus on his food business. Grew production revenues from $4m to $16m with rising profits, reputational acclaim and awards.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, PULSE FILMS
Relaunched the commercials-based studio; within a year, Roy secured a $15m stream of premium docuseries, including a Preferred-Supplier output deal with A+E Networks USA.

Relaunched the iconic documentary outfit, moving it into US premium docs and formats, including the breakthrough History/True-crime show The Curious Life Of and the multi award-winning Paid in Full with Idris Elba. Restaffed Reef Television, the entertainment arm of Zinc Media

Longstanding board member of two acclaimed youth charities. Role included overseeing strategy and financial compliance, marketing and the on-boarding of new board members.
